Trained in the scientific method, the dissection of frogs, and philosophy as a child, Amelia nevertheless had difficulty rationalizing her experience with day to day life. She turned to fiction, devouring books by the armful at a young age. Finding that she needed an outlet for her wild imagination she started by making pictures of dreams. Amelia now strives to create an ordered comparison of fiction and reality by systematically destroying/altering books. In addition, she is a digital retoucher and illustrator, deft in Photoshop manipulations, precise color correction, workflow management, and making stories come to life.

Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Amelia recieved a BFA in Photographic Illustration from R.I.T. in Rochester, New York before relocating to Chicago where she lives with her cat Shoe. She is currently working as a retoucher and illustrator while learning the ins-and-outs of tunnel books.
